The Fairfax County Water Authority is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and repaint the Annandale Reservoirs in Fairfax, Virginia.

Bids are due Dec. 3.

Scope of Work

This project involves coating the interior and exterior surfaces of two existing 2 million-gallon ground water storage tanks.

The Fairfax County Water Authority is currently seeking contractors to rehabilitate and repaint the Annandale Reservoirs in Fairfax, Virginia.

Contractors will abrasive blast clean the interior surfaces to Near White Metal Standards (SSPC-SP 10/NACE No. 2). The interior surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich primer and 100% solids high-build polyurethane coating system.

The exterior of the tank will be abrasive blast cleaned to Commercial Standards (SSPC-SP 6/NACE No. 3). The exterior surfaces will be coated with a zinc-rich urethane primer, acrylic-polyurethane intermediate and fluoropolymer finish.

The concrete tank foundation, grout, and vault exterior surfaces will be abrasive blast cleaned (SSPC-SP 13) to Concrete Cleaning Standards and coated with a two-coat epoxy system.
