TUESDAY, JULY 25, 2023

Worldwide distributor, producer and designer of quality physical and inspection instruments for the paint, coatings and related industries Paul N. Gardner USA (Columbia, Maryland) has announced their new offering, the byko-visc RT Rotational Viscometer.

According to the emailed release, the byko-visc RT is an instrument for testing the viscosity of liquids and pastes in compliance with ASTM D2196, ISO 2555 and ISO 1652 standards. Joining the GARDCO offering of viscosity instruments, the byko-test RT reportedly brings a “comprehensive” solution for customers’ QC needs.

The new product is reportedly available in two models, byko-visc RT and byko-visc RT Lite. According to the company, each model features “versatility and compatibility,” and includes three different sensitivities and optional accessories.

Worldwide distributor, producer and designer of quality physical and inspection instruments for the paint, coatings and related industries Paul N. Gardner USA (Columbia, Maryland) has announced their new offering, the byko-visc RT Rotational Viscometer.

The byko-visc RT can reportedly measure the viscosity of lacquers, paints, primers, resins, lubricants, pharmaceuticals and more, from a near water-like viscosity to the most viscous epoxies, sealants and pastes.

The company states that the byko-visc RT offers “precise” measurements with each test condition recorded for detailed results, analysis and review. The precision is also reportedly repeatable day-to-day and instrument-to-instrument due to BYK-Gardner's "rigorous" quality control. An ISO 17025 calibration certificate is also reportedly supplied with each instrument to confirm its performance.

The byko-visc RT reportedly offers “intuitive” navigation, various control options and a large capacity color touch-screen display, including preset buttons for quick recall, often used to measure parameters. Paul N. Gardner states that these benefits could reduce operator time.

The byko-visc RT also reportedly features a snap-on spindle attachment, meant to save operators time while protecting the instrument, as well as an adjustable stand to raise and lower the viscometer head. According to the company, the product is ready right out of the box and no assembly is required.

The new line is reportedly compatible with other rotational viscometer models in terms of results, measurement parameters and accessories, such as spindles. Paul N. Gardner USA states that this will allow users to “seamlessly” transition to a byko-visc RT system.
