In “UHP Waterjetting and Surface-Tolerant Coatings in Newbuilding Applications,” scheduled for Wednesday (Sept. 28), the speaker shares his decades-plus experience using ultra high pressure hydroblasting and wet surface tolerant coating on projects around the world. |
Learn from Experience
Cipriano will share his more than 10 years of experience using ultra high pressure hydroblasting and wet surface-tolerant coating for Petrobras and on several projects around the world.
After completing a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, and post-graduate work in project management and occupational health and safety in Lisbon, Cipriano worked for a decade as a paint inspector on several newbuilding and ship repair projects. He has worked for Petrobras and other clients in Singapore, China, the U.S., Brazil, Bahrain, Dubai, Vietnam, Portugal and Italy.
More recently, in Brazil, he worked on the newbuilding projects of Petrobras' Replicant Platforms as the director of operations and technical departments of Ultrablast Lassarat Ltda.
Currently a senior consultant at Narus Ltda., Cipriano has developed projects on corrosion analysis, surface treatment and paint specification for clients in the oil and gas, pulp and paper, and mining industries.
He is certified as a NACE Level 3 inspector and has participated in the ISO/TC 67/WG 11 (Coating and lining of structures and equipment) at meetings since 2012.
