Professor Youssef Habibi Joins the Editorial Board of the Journal of Protective Coatings & Linings

The Journal of Protective Coatings & Linings is pleased to announce that Professor Youssef Habibi, Full Professor and Director of the Sustainable Materials Research Center (SUSMAT-RC) at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P), Morocco, has joined its Editorial Board.

Prof. Habibi holds a dual Ph.D. in Organic and Polymer Chemistry from Joseph Fourier University (Grenoble, France) and the University of Cadi Ayyad (Marrakech, Morocco). His distinguished international career spans research positions in the United States, Belgium, and Luxembourg before taking up the Chair in Sustainable Materials at UM6P.

A globally recognized leader in sustainable materials science, Prof. Habibi is a member of the American Chemical Society (ACS), a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC), and a Fellow of the International Association of Advanced Materials (IAAM). His research focuses on the development of bio-derived polymers and nanofillers, high-performance nanocomposites from lignocellulosic materials, biomass conversion and recycling technologies, and the use of advanced analytical tools in biomass applications.

With over 120 peer-reviewed publications, more than 20 book chapters, and recognition as one of the Global Highly Cited Researchers (Clarivate Analytics) for the past four years, Prof. Habibi brings exceptional expertise to the journal. His vision for green chemical processes and sustainable material innovations aligns perfectly with the Journal of Protective Coatings & Linings’ commitment to advancing high-impact research in coatings, linings, and protective technologies.
