ACA President, CEO Reveals Retirement Plans

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 3, 2024


President and Chief Executive Officer of the American Coatings Association Andy Doyle has announced that he will retire on Jan. 15, 2025.

According to the emailed release from ACA, Doyle was first appointed as CEO in March 1988, celebrating 25 with the association in June.

“It has been a distinct honor and privilege to work for the coatings industry and to be given the chance to lead this wonderful organization. I am especially grateful for the support of our current and past elected leaders, our chairmen and vice chairmen, and the members of our Board and Executive Committee,” said Doyle.

“I consider myself blessed to have worked with a tremendously talented staff team. They are a smart, dedicated, and caring group of people who work hard every day to advance our industry. I cannot thank them enough for their friendship and support.”

Executive recruiting firm Heidrick and Struggles will reportedly assist with the search.

Doyle, who is also the former president and founder of the World Coatings Council, attended his last annual council meeting last month in Shanghai, China. At the meeting, the WCC re-elected Tom Bowtell as President for his second two-year term in office.
