This webinar will discuss the risk of corrosion under insulation and how it can be avoided by proper coating selection and application. When selecting coatings for metals under insulation, the following items need to be considered and will be discussed in turn: system operating temperatures, application and site requirements, surface preparation requirements, environmental requirements during coating work, and compatibility of coating system with insulating materials.

Brent Griffin is a Coatings Engineer for Chevron Energy Technology Company. He has performed inspection and consulting for water, oil, gas, nuclear, pipeline and shipping work for the past 20 years. He has over ten years of experience in Consultant Inspection with Chevron and has five years of experience as Chevron’s Global SME for Protective Coatings and Linings and Thermal Spray Metallics.
He is a graduate of Cal University at Long Beach with a B.A. in Industrial Education. He lives in Northern California with his wife and four children.
