W.R. Meadows' newest waterproofing compound is a one-component product designed for interior, exterior, horizontal and vertical applications.
Hydralastic 836 is a cold-applied, solvent-free, 100 percent solids product made to protect concrete surfaces from water intrusion.

The product can be used inside or outside, above or below grade, on vertical or horizontal concrete surfaces, the manufacturer says.

W.R. Meadows recommends the low-odor, low-VOC compound for positive-side waterproofing for foundations and in between slab applications, such as waterproofing planter boxes and plaza decks and sealing parapets.

Hydralastic 836 is easy to apply and forms a tough, flexible membrane, according to Matthew Price, president of W.R. Meadows.

W.R. Meadows says Hydralastic 836 will not crack in cold or slump in heat.

“It can be used for both above-grade and below-grade applications and will not crack in extreme cold or slump due to softening in high temperatures,” the company says.
The product:

Bonds to both concrete and asphalt;

Skins over in 30 minutes, with no dust pickup;.

Can be applied to green concrete;

Will not harm EPS or Styrofoam materials;

Does not require primer; and

Does not freeze.
In addition, the product contributes to LEED credits, including Indoor Environmental Quality and Energy and Atmosphere, according to the manufacturer.
