Blasting and cleaning equipment maker Gritco has introduced a new helmet designed for more comfort, less fatigue, better protection, and improved productivity.
Gritco says the Nova 2000 “has been designed by and for blasting professionals.”
Features and Design
The helmet “sits snug on your head” like a motorcycle helmet “and turns when you turn your head,” the manufacturer reports. Light-weight pillow foam padding distributes the weight of the helmet evenly over the head, eliminating the top weight feeling.
The helmet also features built-in multi-layered sound-deadening foam and Gritco’s proprietary tear-off lenses, for quieter, more convenient operation. The cape is attached with eight snap-lock domes and cannot fall off.
The optional Nova Talk system allows operators to communicate while blasting, in order to reduce downtime and increase productivity.
