Guzzler Manufacturing has unveiled an updated Guzzler Classic (CL) industrial vacuum loader, featuring enhanced operator ergonomics and improved air routing, filtration and maintenance.
Updated top to bottom by customer feedback, the new Guzzler CL features a new longer body for improved material separation, while maintaining the model’s 18-cubic-yard capacity, signature look, performance and durability.

| The new Classic includes a wide variety of design, safety and maintenance updates. |
Like its predecessor, the Guzzler CL is designed to tackle demanding wet and dry industrial cleaning applications.
What’s New
The new Guzzler CL features an updated ladder, catwalk and railing to provide the operator with “easier and safer access to the top of the truck,” said Ben Schmitt, product manager for Guzzler Manufacturing.
The new model also features improved air-routing and material separation, while maintaining the lowest pressure drop of any vacuum loader in its class, Schmitt said.
Other changes include a larger bag house and cyclone cleanout access doors for easier access; wider transition to the dump tubes for more effective dumping; and a larger linear wall connection from the cyclone to the bag house, for more efficient airflow.
A new, rounded transition from debris body to cyclone allows the future addition of valving to isolate the tank for adding pressure offload systems. A new, full-opening door option is designed for more thorough, clean dumping.
Maintenance and Safety Updates
To ease maintenance, the remodeled Guzzler CL design provides easier access to the drive line components that require greasing. In addition:
• The hydraulic and electrical components previously mounted on the boom have been relocated to eye level;
• The length of seal on the rear door has been reduced and the sealing surface widened to prevent leakage; and
• The wiring for the debris body is harnessed, function-stamped and color coded.
Safety improvements include new emergency-stop circuitry that cuts power to disable the vacuum and hydraulics and throttles the chassis engine down to idle.
For improved module grounding, the debris body, sub-frame and chassis are fully connected via a copper grounding strap, while an improved grounding cable clamp grounds the module components to their grounding location.
Guzzler Manufacturing, a subsidiary of Federal Signal Corp.’s Environmental Solutions Group, is a global provider of vacuum loaders for cleaning up industrial waste and recovering and recycling raw materials.
