The Hempel Group, a global provider of protective coatings, has announced the addition of Kunal Nadkarni as Group Oil and Gas Segment Manager to the company’s marketing team.
Nadkarni has vast experience in the oil and gas industry and new business development.

At Hempel, he will be based in Houston, TX, working in close coordination with Oil and Gas sales, marketing and R&D teams there and in the regions.
His aim will be to further develop the Oil and Gas segment in both mature markets (offshore, refineries, LNG, petrochemicals, storage tank terminals, transmission pipelines) and emerging ones (deepwater exploration, unconventional gas, oil sands).
GE, Citigroup Veteran
Nadkarni joins Hempel from GE Oil and Gas, where he was Global Product Marketing Leader. There, he focused on the offshore above-sea segment, especially on the FPSO market. Most recently, he led GE’s Growth Play Book, a five-year strategic marketing outlook for the business.
Nadkarni began his career with Citigroup’s international business division in India. After that, he headed WSI Services’ pipe and tubulars business division for almost six years, in Houston, TX.
Nadkarni has a Master of Commerce degree from India, a Masters Diploma in International Business, and an MBA from the University of Texas at Austin.
