The results of FHWA research on laboratory and field performance of both one-coat and long-term coating systems for bridges will be the subject of the SSPC/JPCL Education Series Webinar, “One-Coat Systems for Public Works Projects,” to be presented by Eric Kline of KTA-Tator on Aug. 10, 2011, from 11:00 a.m. to noon EST.

The webinar will describe the design of two FHWA research projects on coating performance, the performance data that was developed, and conclusions derived from the data, with focus on promising one-coat systems and systems with potential for long-term service.
Eric Kline, executive vice president and senior consultant for KTA-Tator, has 38 years of experience in the protective coatings industry, has published numerous articles on bridge painting in JPCL and elsewhere, and is an active member of SSPC.
