NLB Corp.’s new VertaJet SRT-6LT is designed to remove coatings from steel structures and other vertical surfaces that are too large for manual surface preparation but too small for fully automated equipment.
The handheld, high-pressure tool is designed for waterblasting vertical surfaces faster than manual water jetting and more comfortably than previous models. The system includes a 6-inch self-rotating nozzle assembly and 3-inch (7.6 cm) vacuum attachment to collect water and debris, leaving the surface clean and dry in a single pass, the manufacturer says.

The 20-pound unit removes rust, paint, epoxies and other coatings without abrasive and needs no air connection. It operates at pressures to 40,000 psi (2800 bar) with flows of up to 6 gpm (22.7 lpm).
Multiple water jets rotate at 3,000 rpm to create a six-inch (15cm) cleaning path.
Enhanced comfort and safety features include ergonomic handles, a counterbalancing system, and dual-trigger operation to dump pressure. The water is supplied by a rugged NLB ultra-high pressure pump unit.
