Graco has rolled out what it calls an industry first: a fast-melt, on-board, thermoplastic striping system.
The patent-pending Graco ThermoLazer ProMelt System is designed to safely and easily melt 300 pounds (six 50-pound bags) of thermoplastic material on board in less than one hour with a one-person operation.
Graco says the system can shrink a three-day job to one day and eliminates the need for additional crew and support systems like pre-melt kettle trucks or trailers.
Ride-On Capability
An attachable, patented LineDriver connection system—another industry first, Graco says—transforms the ThermoLazer ProMelt System from a walk-behind to a user-friendly ride-on system that reduces worker fatigue and improves performance with straighter lines, the manufacturer says.
An EasyGlide Wheel Mount System—a third “first,” the company says—has a FatTrack front-mounted swivel wheel and dual rear pneumatic air-filled tires to ease maneuvering of curves and turns.
SmartDie II System
The system features Graco’s new SmartDie II system, which enables use with or without heat. The system has hardened steel dies with built-in mil thickness adjustment. The system “floats” with the surface, enabling accurate placement of thermoplastic and improved line quality, while the no-tool die change-out system makes it fast and easy to switch line widths, according to Graco.
