Garlock Safety Systems, of Plymouth, MN, has introduced a series of Cobra LifeLink Mobile Fall Protection Carts for one, two or three workers.
Single Worker
The Cobra LifeLink Single-Man Cart is a mobile anchorage system that helps protect one or two workers on an elevated job site. It provides fall arrest for one worker and fall restraint for a second.
Cobra LifeLink Single-Man Mobile Fall Protection Cart
The compact, modular design fits easily into elevators and pickup trucks and through doorways, the manufacturer says. Workers roll the cart where it's needed as work progresses. No anchorage to the substrate is required.
Two Workers
The Cobra LifeLink Twin-Man Mobile Fall Protection Cart is designed to offer two workers a single Occupational Safety and Health Administration-compliant arrest and restraint tie-off point when doing leading-edge work on elevations.
The unit provides fall arrest for one worker and fall restraint for one worker on a variety of substrates. No substrate penetration is required; the cart follows the workers as they move around the jobsite.
In case of a fall arrest event, the Cobra Claw is instantly activated, penetrating the substrate and holding the cart secure, Garlock reports. As with the single-worker system, the Twin-Man unit can be transported in elevators and pickups and through doorways—“anywhere you need a low-cost, low-profile guarding solution,” according to the manufacturer.
Three Workers
Garlock’s Multi-Man Mobile Fall Protection Cart also offers an OSHA-compliant tie-off point when doing leading-edge work on elevations.

The unit provides fall restraint for two workers and fall arrest for up to three workers on a variety of substrates. No substrate penetration is required; the cart follows the worker as he or she moves around the jobsite. In the case of a fall arrest event, the Cobra Claw is instantly activated, penetrating the substrate and holding the cart secure, according to Garlock. The Cobra LifeLink Multi-Man cart can carry generators, compressors or an additional job box.
