Isolatek International, a manufacturer of passive fire-protection materials, introduced the Thermal Barrier (TB) product line, designed for the protection of polyurethane foam insulation.

The product line includes the following.

  • CAFCO-TB 415™ a medium-density Portland cement-based spray-applied treatment that meets all code requirements for thermal barrier materials. The material is described as highly durable, aesthetically pleasing, and cost effective.
  • SPRAYFILM®-TB 15™, an intumescent thermal-barrier material that meets section 2603.9 of the International Building Code for thermal-barrier materials. The product provides a smooth surface appearance and can be applied using conventional airless equipment.

Both products can be used as either a thermal barrier or ignition barrier.
