Senior R&D Chemist
Protective Coatings

The experienced and motivated Senior R&D Chemist will conduct fundamental and applied research which requires knowledge of a number of disciplines to improve or generate new products, components, equipment, systems and process.
Key Responsibilities:
• Become the site-expert with regard to our “Lining” product family
• Be the technical project leader for customization and new solution projects, including: planning, execution, follow-up, reporting and presentations
• Coordinate all projects
• Will conduct analysis and provide test results
• Conduct customer visits
• Intermediate reporting
• Coordinate cross-functionally with departments within Hempel
• Update/Improve internal work and test procedures
The qualified candidate will:
• Have a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or equivalent, preferred coatings related qualifications
• 5+ years in coatings formulation
• Travel 25%
• Have excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Enjoy working in a team environment
